CHARACTERISTICS OF A CONQUERING FAITH

FAITH IS FOR GREAT CONQUESTS

When we enter the true dimension of faith, taking into account the doctrinal principles
presented, the Lord then gives us the ability to understand the true meaning of the expression,
"For nothing is impossible with God" (Luke 1:37).
The Bible is full of stories about men, who, even in the midst of tremendous challenges, dared
to believe God and succeeded in conquering what was humanly impossible. Joshua is a great
example. His experiences serve as an important guide. Through the development of a simple
and genuine faith like his, we can prove that it truly is possible to attain great goals. "Have I not
commanded you? Be strong and of good courage; do not be afraid, nor be dismayed, for the
LORD your God is with you wherever you go" (Joshua 1:9).
FAITH COMES FROM THE WORD
Our faith must be built on the Word of God. Everything we desire to attain depends on what God
says in His Word. The blessing of faith comes when we act in accordance to His Word, and the
blessing will only come when you maintain a direct and permanent contact with it. "And you
shall know the truth, and truth shall make you free" (John 8:32).
God formed us so that we would be great conquerors and overcomers. In order to do that, He
bestowed special abilities upon which guided by His will, will help us attain the most noble
purpose. But at times many arguments attack our mind. Though the obstacles may be small, we
view them as great mountains. This origin to the expression, "I can't." This expression blocks
very possibility for developing faith. What a man confesses, that what will be given to him.
FAITH CONQUERS DOUBT AND UNBELIEF
Doubt and unbelief have been the strategies that the enemy has used through many
generations to undermine man and weaken his faith. If he can succeed in dominating our mind,
he can control us completely. He can then dominate our whole being (see Genesis 3:1-6).
We see in Matthew 4 when Satan takes Jesus to the desert with the sole purpose of making
Him doubt His position as the Son of God. But we also find that Jesus defeats him with the
confession of the Word of life. With that, the Lord teaches us:
Faith has to be tested (1 Peter 1:7). Only when we are facing a test can we demonstrate
spiritual strength. In coming out victorious, we are crowned with glory, honor and praise.
Confessing the Word is the only way to defeat our adversary Revelation 12:11). Keeping
the Word alive in our mind will help us to win the victory over the enemy.
• Confessing the Word opens the way for the revelation of God (John 14:23-24). The Lord
is revealed to our lives when the Word is confessed. If we are obedient to the Word, we will
have the same privilege that Jesus had: we will enjoy the divine presence on the inside of us..
FAITH AND FAITHFULNESS
Faith means being loyal to God in everything He commands. A person of faith will already have
been tested and found faithful in his conduct.
Our faith fully develops and is strengthened when we go through various tests. A believer's faith
must be dealt with by-God Himself, so that their faith comes out purified in the end.
Only overcoming doubt and unbelief will allow faith to develop until the victory is obtained.
Abraham did not doubt because he any thought of unbelief. On the contrary, he filled himself
with the divine promise, and repeated it constantly with all the strength of his soul. He was
convinced that God would fulfill all that He had promised.
Those of us who move in the realm of faith must remain alert as true spiritual warriors using
God's armor (see Ephesians 6:10-18), which made up of weapons of defense and attack.
Faith is what makes us an active part of God's team. Since we are on His side, we therefore
owe Him our loyalty with the support of the Holy Spirit who lives within us.

CONCLUSION
The Word of God is that which convinces each person about the way that he should come
before the Almighty. Legalism is related to a critical spirit, which affects our faith and does not
allow us to be true conquerors.
APPLICATION
Every believer who walks in the dimension of faith is called to an overcomer. Everything
depends on being submitted to God and putting into practice the principles set forth in this
lesson.
"EVERYTHING YOU WANT IN THE NATURAL REALM YOU MUST FIRST WIN IN THE
SPIRITUAL REALM BY FAITH. YOU WILL BE SURPRISED AT ALL YOU WILL BE ABLE
TO ACCOMPLISH."
