Strategies used for marketing
Digital marketing

Digital marketing, also called online marketing, is the promotion of brands to connect with
potential customers using the internet and other forms of digital communication. This includes
not only email, social media, and web-based advertising, but also text and multimedia messages
as a marketing channel. Essentially, if a marketing campaign involves digital communication,
it's digital marketing.

Word-of-mouth

Word-of-mouth marketing (or WOM marketing) is when a consumer's interest in a company's

product or service is reflected in their daily dialogues. Essentially, it is free
advertising triggered by customer experiences—and usually, something that goes beyond what
they expected.

26
CTC
Cost to Company (CTC) refers to the total salary package of the employee. It is inclusive of
all monthly components such as basic pay, reimbursements, various allowances, etc. and all
annual components such as gratuity, annual variable pay, annual bonus, etc.

CTC contains all monetary and non-monetary amounts spent on an employee. All the below
mentioned are a part of the in-hand salary, and therefore, are a part of the CTC pay as well.

They are:

• Basic
• Dearness Allowance (DA)
• Incentives or bonuses
• Conveyance allowance
• House Rent Allowance (HRA)
• Medical allowance
• Leave Travel Allowance or Concession (LTA / LTC)
• Vehicle Allowance
• Telephone / Mobile Phone Allowance
• Special Allowance

A major part of CTC comprises of compulsory deductibles. These include deductions for
provident fund, medical insurance, etc. They form a part of the compensation structure but
doesn’t get them as a part of an in-hand salary. But it definitely increases the CTC. CTC =
Direct Benefits + Indirect Benefits + Savings Contributions
• Direct Benefits refer to the amount paid to the employee monthly by the employer
which forms part of his/her take-home or net salary and is subject to government taxes.
• Indirect Benefits refer to the benefits that employees enjoy without paying for them.
The company pays them on behalf of the employee but adds these expenses to the
employee’s CTC as it is an expense from the company’s point of view.
• Savings contribution refers to the monetary value added to the employee’s CTC
example EPF.

27
Basic Salary – It is the amount paid to an employee before any extras are added or taken off,
such as reductions because of salary sacrifice schemes or an increase due to overtime or a bonus.
Basic Salary Tax Liability – Basic salary is always taxable and should, therefore, not be more
than 40% of the CTC. However, it should also not be kept too low since it will then result in a
reduction in the other constituents of the salary. Usually, employees at a junior level will have
a higher amount of basic salary compared to senior-level employees. If an employee has a high
basic salary, he or she will have to pay tax on it.

Portfolio and risk analysis

■ Though return of portfolio is the weighted average return of individual assets in the portfolio

■ But risk of a portfolio is not a weighted average risk of individual assets ■

Because overall risk is reduced by combining assets into one portfolio

Why risk falls in a portfolio?

By combining negatively correlated stocks, we can remove the individual risks Unsystematic risk
) of the stocks

Example: POL has the risk of falling oil prices and PIA has the risk of rising oil prices

By combining these two stocks, reduction in return in one stock due to change in oil price is
compensated by increase in return of the other stock

However, all of market risk cannot be eliminated through diversification (Systematic Risk )

What is necessary for combining securities to reduce risk?

■ combine such stocks the return of which are affected in opposite direction from a change in the
same economic variable

■ i.e stocks in our portfolio should have negative correlation

Portfolio Risk will not decrease

■ When the stocks return move in the same direction by equal percentage(Perfect positive
correlation)

■ i.e If changes in economic variables have negative effect on both of the stocks

35
Correlation Coefficient
■ Correlation coefficient can vary from +1 to -1

+1 means that the return on two securities are perfectly positively correlated. If there is
100 positive change in security A return, the security B return will also increase by 100%

■ -1 means that if security A return increases by 100%, security B return will decrease by
100%

Calculating Portfolio Risk

Risk of the portfolio is not the weighted average risk of the individual securities

Rather it is determined by three factors 1.

the SD of each security

2. the covariance between the securities 3.

The weights of securities in the portfolio

rp- (W1 x r1) + (W2 x r2) ……….

Example

Suppose we are taking shares of two company from past 5 years and the weightage of

shares are 50-50 ,We have to find out the risk involved in this portfolio

2017 8% 16%

2018 10% 14%

2019 12% 12%

2020 14% 10%

E-money and how it can influence the world finance
market?
• Technological developments have had an impact on all aspects of life, including changes to
existing payment systems.

• Electronic money (E-Money) is a non-cash payment instrument alongside credit and debit
cards.

• Electronic money offers advantages over debit and credit cards that provide ease, speed and
efficiency.

• The issue discussed in this research is the intensity of e-money usage, volume of transactions,
preferences and perceptions of e-money usage in the local area.

• This study used a qualitative approach.

• The findings showed that only a small proportion of respondents (5%) did not use UPI as a
means of payment.

• Most students easily make 5-8x transactions per day.

• The volume of transactions using electronic money is high.

• Students prefer using UPI relatively little. Most respondents supported a company with less
cash because they believe it will promote economic growth and stability.

Globalization and internationalization of relations together with more stable virtual economic
ties on the one hand and the emergence of fundamentally new information and communication
technologies and resources on the other have laid the foundation for the integration of the
international community, which was previously separated for existing ideological reasons.

The internationalization of national economies has increased the mobility and accessibility of
global capital markets for owners of financial resources. As a result, most states were forced to
restructure their financial and tax systems in order to compete effectively for transnational
investment in the new global financial architecture. In fact, a new economic space has emerged
with an immanent system of financial attributes, products and relationships, crossborder
migration of the labor market and capital markets, financial innovations, localization of the

39
production of goods and services, where the corresponding types of monetary resources are
created and used. The integration of the national economy into the world economic territory
transformed the overall system of monetary economy and circulation.

It has caused profound changes in the world financial architecture, information finance and
even geoinfofinance, in the banking sector and other areas of the economic and social life of
various states. The updating of the meaning of money, its emptying, the generation of "techno
currency" (e-money, digital money, cyber cash, etc.) happened so quickly that the theoretical
foundations and scientific research in this matter lag behind reality. The process of globalization
and internationalization has caused the generation of new payment products whose theoretical
aspects and content have not been sufficiently studied due to their innovation and speed of
penetration into national and international economies.

Recommendation

1. My recommendations would be that Insplore consultants pvt. ltd. should start form small
investment segment as this segment is growing very fast and has a great potential in the coming
future. So small investments can become a Cash cow for Insplore consultants pvt. ltd. in
upcoming times.

2. The second point would be stock trading, the firm should go in BSE and NSE stocks
segment as after Covid times this sector has been going at a very fast pace, everyone is concern
about their passive income and keen to try new products that can be an immunity booster or
any related products and sectors, it can be multivitamins etc. Digitalizing this segment will be
a great choice for Insplore consultants pvt. ltd..

41
Analytics

• The introduction of electronic money integrated with a membership card (eg student card) supports
an immediate increase in the use of electronic money.

• Only 5% students do not know UPI as a means of payment.

• In order to support the success of the National Cashless Money Movement (GNNT), it is important
to socialize more intensively in this direction. One thing that needs to be done is to add the number
of merchants that can accept electronic money within the campus, such as cafeterias and copy
centers.

• Electronic money has actually been able to overcome the problem of the minimum amount of
transactions allowed by credit or debit cards, so it is suitable for students who are used to making
small amount of transactions.

• One important thing is to raise awareness about the use of electronic money.

• This is important because electronic money can easily be replaced by cash itself.
