LETTER OF RECOMMENDATION
Monday, November 2™, 2020.
My name is Nguyen The Anh, and I am delighted to write this letter of recommendation for Dao Ngoc
My Anh, an academically prominent and high-achieving student in my class. I have known Anh for
‘more than two years since I first took on her class's Chemistry teacher position. From the beginning,
‘Anh has been a notable student in my class, standing out for her passion for leaming and her sincere
dedication,
| would say that Anh is a hard-working and responsible student in the class. It has been shown clearly
{in our laboratory as she is always the first person showing up and the first one finishing the experiment.
‘After class, she constantly stays with me to clean up and arrange all the lab equipment before going
home. With such diligence and commitment, she achieved a well-deserved GPA of 9.4 in Chemisiry by
the end of grade 10. She is also entrusted by all the students tobe the teacher's assistant inthe class. Like
fan older sister to her fiends, she reminds them to tum in materials, gives advice about studying, and
‘organizes groups. During one encounter with Ms. Kim Oanh, who, by that time, was the Physics teacher
‘of An's class, T as told that Anh had also been one of her favorite students. It was thanks to Anh’s
“willingness to involve in the classroom, and her high sense of responsibility.
Furthermore, she totally impressed me with her curiosity and passion for discovering knowledge. It was
by chance that I met Anh when she was volunteering for the ISEF at the national level. When not many
‘were willing to take the work to sort the research files, Anh insisted on doing that, and I was surprised
to see her reading all the esearch papers very carefully and attentively. In such an enthusiastic manner,
she told me thet she wanted to observe and learn about many new innovative ideas.
In her sophomore year, she reached out to me and asked for my supervision for her team’s upeoming
scientific research in Biochemistry, with which I suggested that she could research the ‘Micro fuel cell.
‘Throughout the time I supervised her team, she had proved that she was a thoroughly competent leader,
‘as well as a detailed and careful team worker. She knew how to divide work effectively: she always paid
attention tothe smallest detail and prepared beforehand for every experiment. As a leader, not only did
‘she know how to guide her team, but she also listened to her teammates’ ideas and suggestions, then
Applied them to the research, As a result, after three months, her team successfully produced a version
‘fa micro fuel cell from eggshells and contaminated water. With that product, she aimed to provide a
solution to the problem of waste products in Vietnam by creating a new source of sustainable energy.
‘This year, | was fortunate to come back to teach Chemistry in her class. After knowing that, Anh
immediately came to me and asked for advice for many of her future projects. She told me that there
‘were many possibilities that she wanted to try to have @ more detailed look, not only in Biology or
‘Chemistry but also in many other fields. With that in mind, I believe that the university environment will,
be ideal for her further developments with its many open opportunities and resources.Allin all, she has my respect and my highest recommendation. This is because I belive that with her
talent and dedication, she will be an excellent addition to your school in both aeademic pursuits and
campus activities. Please feel free to contact me ifyou have any questions.
Yours faithfully,
fy
