Format for the Research Proposal
 Front page (Name, Class, Roll No., Proposed Project Title, Name of your
guide)
 Introduction (at least 0.5 – 1 page, consisting about broad idea about Industry or
area of research topic)
 Literature Review (at least 5 articles and 5 Research papers) (Refer google
scholar, researchgate, ssrn, college journals, etc.)
 Justification of title considering literature review
 Objectives
o Primary Objectives (based on your project title)
o Secondary Objectives (derived from primary objective(s), if any)
 Research Methodology
o Research Design (Explain with the reason why such research design
adopted)
o Scope (applicable to whom or which period of time e.g. for Surat city, in last
five years)
o Population (e.g. Investors, scripts, mutual funds, life insurance plans etc.)
o Sampling: Frame, Technique (in most of cases nonprobabilistic method, but
mention which method in that), Samples (number of samples i.e. 200 in case
of primary data, in case of secondary data depends upon your work)
o Data Collection: Type of data (Which primary and secondary data you are
going to collect), Instrument used (in case of primary data only), Methods
(how will you collect your data whether primary or secondary. Which data
from which source?)
o Data Analysis: Tools and Techniques (Expected tools and techniques e.g.
chart, graph, cross tabulation, t-test, f-test, chi-square test, trend percentage,
common-size statement, ratio analysis etc.)
o Limitations of work (better to write at the end of the project)
o Scope of Future Study (which you want to study but due to certain
constraints you are not going to do)
 Bibliography/References (use ms-word to write bibliography) Mention all
journal articles, newspaper articles, all websites visited (not google, it is search
engine), text book you should refer etc.

Other Important Aspects


1. Font Size 12, Type of Font: Arial or Times New Roman.
2. Mention the source of data for Diagrams, Charts, Tables, Graphs if Copied.
3. Do not copy literature review from any of the research paper.
4. View the way of writing Reference names in standard books to write
bibliography.
