We are pleased to offer you the position of Data Engineering Intern for our Ubongo Kids
Data Warehouse project. We are excited to have you join our team and contribute to our
mission of making data-driven decisions quickly and effectively.

As a Data Engineering Intern, you will be responsible for creating SQL scripts for Redash,
automating the dashboard building process, and writing queries to extract data from our data
warehouse. Your work will have a significant impact on our ability to achieve our business
objectives and improve our overall data strategy.

Your specific responsibilities will include:

● Creating SQL scripts for Redash: You will be responsible for creating SQL scripts that
can be used by Redash to generate the necessary data for the dashboard. These
scripts will be maintainable and easy to modify in the future if needed.
● Automating the dashboard building process: You will work to create a process that
enables version control and facilitates development environments for the Redash
objects (e.g., queries, dashboards) that will be used to generate the dashboard. This
will ensure that any changes made to the Redash objects are tracked, reviewed, and
approved before they are deployed to the production environment.
● Writing queries: You will be writing queries to extract data from the data warehouse
that will be used in the dashboard. These queries should be optimized for
performance and accuracy and be well-documented.

To be successful in this role, you should have the following qualifications:

Strong SQL skills: You should be proficient in SQL and have experience writing queries for
data analysis.

Knowledge of data warehousing: You should have a basic understanding of data


warehousing concepts and be able to navigate complex data models.

Familiarity with Redash: You should have experience working with Redash or a similar
dashboarding tool.

Attention to detail: You should have a keen eye for detail and be able to identify and correct
errors in data.

Your work will have a positive impact on our ability to make data-driven decisions and
improve our overall data strategy. Furthermore, you will have the opportunity to gain valuable
experience working on a real-world project and contribute to our company's success.

The internship will be for a period of 1 and a half months, starting from April 12 2023 to May
31 2023. During the internship, you will be working remotely, and we will provide you with the
necessary resources and tools to complete your work.
