THE OSCAR
Academy Award or also called Oscar trophy is a film award America to appreciate works
in Film industry. Various categories of winners were awarded a copy of the statue by
Academy Award of Merit, better known by the nickname Oscar. The awards were first held
in 1929 in Hotel Hollywood Roosevelt, and supervised by Academy of Motion Picture Arts
and Sciences(AMPAS).
The award ceremony was first televised in 1953, and is now broadcast live in more than
200 countries. The Oscars are the oldest awards ceremony, and there are also Emmy
Awards for television awards, Tony Awards for theater awards, and Grammy Awards for
awards in the music industry, held after the Academy Awards.
