This is because the descending winds in the cyclones’s eye don’t reach near the surface. when air is subsiding at it from the top?
They get adiabatically warmed up on descending and start rising again without reaching the Usually subsiding air is associated with high

motion of the wind?
The earth is rotating about its axis. If you look at a bucket of water, the water at the top of
the bucket is rotating at a greater speed than the lower part of the bucket. It is not a large
difference, but it is real and that momentum will be conserved if anything changes.
If you let the water drop through a hole in the bottom of the bucket, the water at the top has
to keep its speed even though it has dropped downward, and the bucket at lower levels is
rotating slower than the water. The water has to

A low pressure region is caused by air rising. When something is causing the air to rise in a
region, that leaves a lack of air below it. That lack of air means the pressure is lower there
than in the surrounding region, and that low pressure is what sucks air in from around it.
That’s wind blowing in to replace the air that went up in the air.
One thing that can cause a region of air to rise is humidity. Water molecules are lighter than
air molecules. The molar mass of H2OContinue

It's being sucked in like a vacuum cleaner so of course the air is going to have low pressure
it's not that low it's only like a few millibars but it does have motion so it does create a
vacuum of sorts you're reading too much into that it's not all that complicated try looking at
it from a big picture get overhead view of the hurricane and you'll see what I'm talking about
it's pretty much self-explanatory from that point on

The center of a hurricane is dynamically induced, not thermodynamically in origin. However
warm air is less dense than cooler air, and the hurricane eye is the warmest part of the
storm, maintained by the release of latent heat in the eyewall.

Wind moves from high to low pressure.
Earth's rotation creates what is known as the Coriolis effect which is what causes the inward
moving winds to rotate.
You can read up on and watch videos explaining the Coriolis effect on YouTube and
Wikipedia.

Originally Answered: Why does the eye of a hurricane have low air pressure when air is sinking? I

As this happens, it reduces the mass of air over the ‘eye of the storm’ - causing
the wind speed to increase further. Some ejected air also cools and dries, and
sinks through the eye of the storm, adding to the low pressure at the center. The
faster the winds blow, the lower the air pressure in the center, and so the cycle
continues.
High above the eye wall this upflow begins to spread out. This permits cool dry air
above the eye to sink down into the central core of the eye (that is why the eye is
often clear and cloud free). So why is the hurricane core/eye low pressure when
there is cool dry Continue Reading

Related How does low pressure cause low temperature?
The number of air molecules above a surface determines air pressure. As the number of
molecules increases, they exert more pressure on a surface and the total atmospheric
pressure increases. By contrast, if the number of molecules decreases, so too does the air
pressure. An area consisting of warm air is less dense than the surroundings, so it
rises, lowering the atmospheric pressure in that area and is replaced by cooler air.

How can a hurricane have a lower pressure reading with lower winds than

another hurricane that had a higher pressure reading with higher wind speeds?
Wind speeds are due to the pressure gradient, not just pressure. I.e. the pressure difference
between two regions over a given distance will determine the strength of winds flowing from
the areas of high pressure to those of low pressure. The more extreme the pressure
gradient, the faster the winds.
Therefore, you could have a hurricane with a lower eye pressure with lower wind speeds
than one with a higher eye pressure, if the pressure gradient in the first hurricane is less
extreme. This could happen if the atmospheric pressure in the regions around the first
