Small cars may make a comeback by 2026, says Maruti Suzuki chairman RC Bhargava
: According to Maruti Suzuki Chairman RC Bhargava, there's a possibility of small cars making a
comeback by 2026. In a recent interview, he expressed scepticism regarding the notion that two-
wheeler and first-time car buyers are increasingly aspiring for mid-sized cars and SUVs.

Despite record car sales in FY24, the market witnessed a surge in SUV sales while small cars faced a
decline. However, Bhargava's perspective suggests that this trend isn't alarming for the small car
segment.
