1. The shortest war in history lasted only 38 minutes. It was between Britain and
Zanzibar on August 27, 1896. Zanzibar surrendered after their palace was
bombarded by British ships.
2. Honey never spoils. Archaeologists have found pots of honey in ancient Egyptian
tombs that are over 3,000 years old and still perfectly edible.
3. The Eiffel Tower can be 15 cm taller during the summer due to thermal expansion
of the iron. Conversely, it can shrink back in colder temperatures.
4. Octopuses have three hearts. Two hearts pump blood to their gills, while the third
pumps it to the rest of their body.

known universe.
6. The longest time between two twins being born is 87 days. A woman in Ireland
gave birth to one twin prematurely at 23 weeks, and then the second twin was
born 87 days later at 36 weeks.
7. Bananas are berries, but strawberries are not. In botanical terms, a berry is a fruit
produced from the ovary of a single flower with seeds embedded in the flesh. By
this definition, bananas qualify as berries, while strawberries do not because their
seeds are on the outside.
8. The shortest commercial flight in the world is between Westray and Papa
Westray, two islands in Scotland. The flight takes about 1.5 to 2 minutes, covering
a distance of just 1.7 miles (2.7 km).
9. In Japan, there are more pets than children. The country has one of the lowest
birth rates in the world, while pet ownership, especially of dogs and cats, is quite
high.
10. The national animal of Scotland is the unicorn. Despite being a mythical creature,
the unicorn was chosen as Scotland's national animal in the late 1300s because it
symbolized purity, innocence, and power.
