ORDINAL NUMBERS
We normally add a “th” to the end of a cardinal number to make it an ordinal number. Be careful with
the spelling of the numbers. The exception are first, second, third.

El artículo definido “the” se usa para señalar un sustantivo específico.

Uses of Can
The verb can is used to express ability or possibility and to ask for permission.

Example: I can swim (ability)


You can use my pencil (permission)
We always use the verb can with another verb in infinitive.

Genitive case ´S (caso posesivo)
El caso posesivo se utiliza para indicar que algo es de alguien, y en ingles se puede expresar de
dos maneras:
1- Con el uso de la preposición OF.
Ej: The cions OF gold (Las monedas de oro) Ésta estructura es muy similar al español.
Sin embargo se utiliza solo cuando poseedor es un objeto o algo inanimado
2- Agregandole un apostrofe y una “S” al nombre del poseedor. Contrario al español,
en ingles el nombre de la persona que posee debe ir primero, seguido del objet que
se posee
Ej: Mark´s hammer ( El martillo de Mark)
Cuando el poseedor esta en plural la ´S se
coloca al final del ultimos poseedor.
