SPEECH AND LANGUAGE

ANNUAL REPORT

Name: Keegan Chidzororo

Date of Birth: 13/06/2017 Age: 5 years and 4 months
Date of Report: 27/10/2022

Summary of Case History and Diagnostic Assessment

No case history was obtained for Keegan.
Upon assessment, it was noticed that Keegan does indeed have difficulties with both
receptive and expressive language.

Dynamics in Therapy
The student therapist and Keegan had difficulty building a good rapport initially, but it
improved over time. Keegan was very distractible during the sessions and instructions
had to be repeated for him to listen. However, there were a few sessions where he
cooperated with no difficulty. Keegan grew in confidence during our time together.

Progress in Therapy
 Areas of Growth
Keegan showed a slight improvement in his receptive skills as instructions did not
have to be repeated as often as they had to be at the beginning of the therapy
sessions.

 Areas of Continued Concern

1
Keegan’s expressive and receptive language skills are of significant concern and
therefore intervention is still required. It was also noted during therapy that he has
some difficulties with auditory processing however no assessment was done to
confirm this thus it is advised that an assessment is done to confirm this so that
intervention can be started.

Recommendations:
It is recommended that Keegan Chidzororo continues to receive individual, weekly
language therapy sessions to address his language impairments.
