Removal of upper and lower cargo doors. ‘A. Remove cotter pin and pin securing upper door post pulsirap to lower door. 8. Riomove trim plate from upper door jamb to gain access to hinge attech screws. C. Remove safety clips from both ends of gas springs and remove gas springs from ballstuds. D. (Refer to Figure 1. Sheet 1) Remove screws (9) attaching upper cargo door hinge (1) to upper door jamb (7) and remove upper cargo door from airplane. E. Retain shim (8), if used. between hinge and upper door jambs F. Open lower door and support the door. G. Remove cotter pins and washers from upper and lower hinge pins, H, Remove hinge pins from upper and lower hinges. 2. Uppar cargo door hinge assembly replacement. A. (Refer to Figure 1, Sheet 1) Remove existing upper cargo door hinga assembly by drilling out rivets in location (5). Use care to prevent damaging door seal. NOTE: Assure that hinge line of naw hings assembly remains in the same position as removed hinge. 8. Install new hinge assembly (1) to unper cargo door using rivets (5) C. Remove the cottar pins and three hinge pins from the new hinge assembly. Hinge pins should be retained for use in reinstalling upper cargo door. D. Install upper hinge hal to upper door jamb (7) with retained serews (8) and shim (8) i used. HT & Apply cénpozectasss12 sealant along both hinge halves as shown in location (2). Air defector installation, A. (Refer to Figure 1. Sheet 2) Loosen screw (1) attaching forward end of step tread (14), 8. Position air detlector (12) at forward edge of cargo door opening as shown with lower attach brackot under step tread (14) and with slot engaged around sorew (15). Alga hinge brackets as shown and install pins (19) and secure with washer and cotter pin (13). install pin (10) and secure with cotter pin (10). Attach air deflector support brackat to gas spring attach bracket (19) with bolt and nut (11), Tighten step tread forward attach screw (15) 4. Replacement of cargo door unlocked light switch plate with bracket assembly. ‘A. Locate the cargo door unlocked fight switch on the forward doorpost and remove the existing Stricker plate. Store removed plate and shims for use in reinstallation of cargo daors. ™mg90 B. install switch bracket assembly (17) using screws (18) removed in step 4.A, 5. Placard installations. | A (Refer to Figure 2, Sheets 1 & 2) Install placard (2) on instrument panel (1) near attemate static source switch (3) as shown in Detail C. 8. Install placard (5) on passenger door (4) near door handle as shown in Detail D. C. _ Install placard (7) on ingtrument panol (1) under the airspeed indicator (6) 2s shown in Detail & JS.
