Infiniti Retail Limited Policy on Internal Job Posting 2015 – 16 Version: 1.0
Ref No: HR/PD/IJP/15-16 Date of Issue: 20th Jan 2016
Objective:
The objective of the policy is to provide career growth and multi-skilling for the existing talent pool in
the Organisation by creating exciting opportunities for lateral movement within the Organisation, to
other verticals where there is a vacancy available, thus leading to a mutual benefit for the employee and
the Organisation - the employee will develop skills, gain experience, explore and learn while working in a
new function.
Scope:
The Internal Job Posting (IJP) will be rolled out at the discretion of the Functional Head and CHRO
keeping in mind the function, job role and grade for which a vacancy is existing in the system. IJPs may
not be rolled out for all vacancies; it will purely depend on the nature of the vacancy.
Eligibility:
The eligibility criteria will be defined in the IJP email which will be floated from HR Desk, however, the
basic hygiene factors would include – confirmed employees who have completed atleast two appraisal
cycles in the current role, no warning letters issued or PIP (Performance Improvement Plan) issued in
the past six months from the date of rollout of IJP.
An employee who has recently been promoted needs to complete atleast two appraisal cycles in the
promoted role, to be eligible to apply for an IJP
Employee who has been selected for the IJP or moved into the new role through an IJP will have to
complete atleast 2 appraisal cycles in that role before he/she plans to move on to another role through
another IJP, or should have completed atleast 18 months in that role to get nominated for promotion
within the same function
*Please Note – there is no option for the employee who has moved through an IJP to move back into the
previous department/role from which the employee has been transferred, unless it is a Company
requirement.
Those applying for the IJP and planning on taking a long leave or women going on maternity leave within
the first 8 months of moving into the new role should disclose the same at the time of application and
interview.
Process:
Once it is finalised that an IJP has to be rolled out, an email will be sent out from HR Desk to all
employees or the group of employees for whom the IJP has been opened. This email will confirm the
positions for which the IJP has been opened, eligibility criteria, job description and the application
process.

Applications should be sent by the interested employees on mail within the stipulated timeline. Once
the applications are received, the selection process will commence.
The selection will be purely done basis the required skill set, experience and interview assessment
In case an employee is selected, a communication will go out from HR Desk announcing the same.
The selected employee will need to handover all responsibilities within one month of the announcement
and move into the new role as per the date agreed upon by the Functional Heads and HR.
The employee will also need to complete his / her appraisal with the current functional manager before
moving into the new role, provided he/she has spent atleast 4 months in that role during the financial
year. The yearly appraisal will be done on a pro-rata basis depending on the number of months the
employee has completed in each function.
In case a re-location is involved, the employee can avail of benefits as per the relocation policy.
In cases where there is a movement from a store role to ZO/SO role, there will be change in the CTC
structure as applicable, however, there will be no change in the total annual CTC.
In cases where an employee is moving to a city where the cost of living is higher, a comparison with the
grade and salary band for that metro will be done and if required the component of ‘cost of living
allowance’ will be added to his/her CTC - the same may be withdrawn if the employee moves back to a
city where the cost of living is lower.
In case the employee leaves the Organisation within 12 months of moving into the new role, the
relocation cost borne by the company will be recovered from such an employee in the Full & Final
settlement
Terms & Conditions:
An employee applying for an IJP must disclose at the time of application and interview in case
he/she has planned any long leave in the subsequent 8 months
Once the IJP movement has happened, the candidate cannot withdraw his application or move back
into the old role
The employee will have to complete atleast 2 appraisal cycles in that role before he/she plans to
move on to another role through another IJP, and should have completed atleast 18 months in the
role to get nominated for promotion within the same function
An employee who has already been interviewed for an IJP will not be re-interviewed if the same IJP
or an IJP for a similar role is floated within a period of six months of floating the previous IJP. The
application will be considered, however, the score of the interview conducted during the first IJP
floated will only be considered.
