What is welding?

Welding is a process of joining metals

through the action of heat, with or
without the addition of new metallic
material, giving continuity to the joined
elements. There are two types of
welding, heterogeneous, which is carried
out between materials of different
nature, with or without filler metal: or
between equal metals, but with different
filler metal. It can be soft or strong. And
there is also the homogeneous type,
which is when the materials that are
welded and the filler metal are of the
same nature, electrical (by electric arc or
by resistance), etc. If there is no filler
metal, homogeneous welds are called
autogenous.

What is flux and what is its function?

Flux is a chemical product used in the

soldering process and in the manufacture
of boards and other electronic
components. Its function is to stabilize
the bow, clean the surface; At the tip it
makes a gas bell to displace the oxygen
from the joint to be soldered.

Generador. Un generador eléctrico es todo dispositivo capaz de mantener una diferencia

De potencial eléctrica entre dos de sus puntos.

Características. Su característica principal es el tipo de corriente de salida, apta para todo tipo
de electrodo.

Ventajas y desventajas. Las ventajas generales de estas clases de máquinas son: Poseer
estabilidad en el arco. Disponer de la polaridad que el electrodo requiera. Tener ajuste gradual
de la intensidad.

Transformador rectificador. Un rectificador es el elemento o circuito que permite convertir la

corriente alterna en corriente continua. Esto se realiza utilizando diodos rectificadores, ya sean
semiconductores de estado sólido, válvulas al vacio o válvulas gaseosas como las de vapor de
mercurio.

Características. Los transformadores se conocen también como MAQUINASESTATICAS por

no tener piezas móviles.
