1. The focus this term, is on participation and performance in a series of fitness


activities
2. There is a series of activities, to assess your fitness.
3. The following components will be assessed:

Cardiovascular fitness:
- a time based 6 lap run
Flexibility
- hamstring stretches.
Muscular endurance.
- Pushups, sit-ups and burpees: how many you can do in 90 seconds.
Muscle power.
- Standing long jumps.

4. Remember to warm up before exercising and to warm down afterwards.

follow up assessment
6. Work in pairs during the assessment
7. You need to produce a doctor's note on the day that you return to school, if you
were absent during any one of the assessments.
8. The baseline assessment needs to be filed in your portfolio of evidence and you
are not allowed to take it out at any time.
9. Wear comfortable active wear and sport shoes for the assessments.
