EDITING

REASEARCH
CUT

Cut editing is the most used

technique. It stops a scene
then goes on to another
creating a transition in-
between scenes.
CONTINUITY EDITING

It creates an even transition

from scenes without jarring
or immediate differences.
Basically one movement to
another.
CROSS CUTTING

Cuts back and forth

between 2 scenes, makes it
appear to be happening at
the same time. Like a phone
call scene
GRAPHIC MATCH CUT

Ends a shot with a frame

with the same component,
like shape, colour, size and
so on. Using a smooth
transition makes it seem the
2 shots are related.
MONTAGE EDITING

Edited in series of short

shots that are edited into a
cycle (space, time and
information). Usually used
to suggest the passage of
time, show growth and or
change of a character. Used
to pass time.
