Safety warnings Disposal

Read the safety warnings carefully and only use the product as described in
these instructions to avoid accidental injury or damage. Keep these instruc-
tions for future reference. If you give this product to another person,
remember to also include these instructions.
Intended use
The product is designed for private use and is not suitable for commercial
purposes.
DANGER to children
• Keep packaging materials out of the reach of children.
They pose several risks, including the risk of suffocation!
• Swallowing batteries can be fatal. Swallowing a battery can cause severe
internal chemical burns and even death within 2 hours. Therefore, keep both
new and old batteries and the product itself out of the reach of children.
If you think that a battery has been swallowed or has entered the body in
any other way, seek medical advice immediately.
WARNING - risk of injury
• If a battery has leaked, avoid all contact with skin, eyes and mucous
membranes. Rinse the affected areas with water if necessary and consult
a doctor immediately.
• Single-use batteries must not be charged, taken apart, thrown into fire or
short-circuited.
Notice - material damage
• Do not subject the alarm clock to extreme fluctuations in temperature or
to moisture, dust or direct sunlight.
• Protect the batteries from intense heat. Remove the batteries from the
product when they are flat or if you do not intend to use the product for a
prolonged period. This will help prevent damage caused by leakage.
• If necessary, clean the battery and device contacts before inserting the
batteries. Risk of overheating!
• Ensure that the polarity (+/–) is correct when inserting the batteries.
• Use only the same or an equivalent battery type. A­ lways replace all batteries
at the same time. Do not mix old and new batteries, different types or brands
of battery, or batteries with different capacities.
• Do not use rechargeable batteries as these will not provide the required
voltage.
• Do not use caustic, abrasive or solvent-based agents or hard brushes, etc.
for cleaning.

tured from valuable materials that can be recycled. Recycling reduces the
amount of refuse and preserves the environment. Dispose of the packaging
at a recycling point that sorts materials by type.
Make use of the local facilities provided for collecting paper, cardboard and
lightweight packaging.
Devices, single-use batteries and rechargeable batteries
marked with this symbol must not be disposed of along with
household waste! You are legally obliged to dispose of old
devices separately from household waste. ­Electronic devices
contain hazardous substances and, if stored or disposed of improperly, may
cause harm to health and the environment. Information about collection
points where old devices can be disposed of free of charge is available from
your local authorities. Flat single-use and rechargeable batteries must be
handed in at a local authority collection point or returned to a battery
retailer.
Prior to first use
Unpacking
M  Remove the product from its packaging and dispose of all packaging
materials.
M  Remove the protective film from the display.
Inserting / replacing batteries
The alarm clock operates with two LR03/AAA batteries.
1. Use the groove on the battery
compartment to carefully pry
the battery compartment lid up
and off.
2. Insert
­ the batteries as shown in
the battery compartment.
­Ensure correct polarity (+/–).
 The entire display screen will illuminate briefly. You will then hear a beep
and the normal display will appear, showing the time 0:00 and date 1–1.
3. Replace the battery compartment lid by slotting the 3 hinges at the bot-
tom into the corresponding grooves, then folding the lid down and press-
ing it firmly shut. You should hear and feel it click into place.
• A battery symbol in the right section of the display indicates that
the batteries need replacing.
• Replacing the batteries deletes all the settings.

Setting the time

The settings described below will be requested one after the other as soon
as you have selected the settings mode.
Briefly press the + and – buttons to change the values by one digit at a time.
You will hear a beep. If you press and hold the button, the values will change
more quickly. Press to save the displayed value. You will hear a beep and
see the next setting flash on the screen, ready for selecting.
If you do not press a button for longer than 30 seconds during the
setting process, then the settings mode will terminate automatically.
The values set up to this point will be saved.
1. Press and hold the button for approx. 2 seconds until the 12/24-hour
display (12 Hr/24 Hr) begins to flash on the screen.
2. Use the + or – button to scroll to the desired setting and press briefly to
save the setting and move on to the next.
3. Now set the following values (which are indicated by flashing) one after
the other, confirming them by pressing :
Hour > Minute > Year > Month > Day > Language for abbreviation of the
weekday.
 The language abbreviations will appear in the following order:
GER (German) > ENG (English) > ­ITA (Italian) > FRE (French) > ­
DUT (Dutch) > SPA (Spanish) > DAN (Danish).
When you have confirmed all the settings, the alarm clock will automatically
exit the settings mode.
Alarm function
Setting the alarm clock
The settings described below will be requested one after the other as soon

You will hear a beep. If you press and hold the button, the values will change
more quickly. Press to save the displayed value. You will hear a beep and
see the next setting flash on the display ready for selecting.

setting process, then the settings mode will terminate automatically.
The values set up to this point will be saved.
1. Press and hold the button for approx. 2 seconds until the alarm time
(factory settings 0:00) appears on the screen. The hour display will flash.
2. Use the + or – button to set the hour, then briefly press the button
to save the setting. The minutes will flash.
3. Use the + or – button to set the minute, then briefly press the button
to save the setting and exit the settings mode.
Please note: The alarm function is not automatically switched on.
Switching alarm function on and off
M  To switch the alarm function on, briefly press .
You will hear a beep and the alarm symbol will appear on the screen.
M  Briefly press again to switch the alarm function off again.
You will hear a beep and the alarm symbol will disappear from the
screen.
Interrupting / switching off the alarm
At the alarm time set, the alarm will sound and the alarm symbol will
flash on the screen. If the alarm is not interrupted or switched off, it will
continue to sound for approx. 2 minutes, increasing in intensity as it does so
(4 intensity levels).
After this period, it will switch itself off and then sound again at the same
time on the following day.
M  To switch the alam to snooze, briefly tap the symbol on the top
of the alarm clock.
The alarm will switch off and the snooze symbol Zz will flash on the screen.
The alarm will sound again after 5 minutes. You can repeat this procedure as
many times as you like.
M  To switch off the alarm completely, briefly press any button on the back
of the alarm clock (except for Zz).
Other functions
Turn on screen illumination
The screen features a backlight function to enable you to read it in the dark.
M  Tap the symbol on the top of the alarm clock.
The screen will be backlit for approx. 5 seconds.
Selecting the temperature display
You can have the clock display the measured room temperature in degrees
­Celsius (°C) or degrees Fahrenheit (°F).
M  Briefly press the – button to switch between °C and °F.
Restoring factory settings
If the alarm clock shows a time that is obviously incorrect, you can reset it to
the default settings. This deletes all previous settings.
M  Briefly remove the batteries from the device, then replace them again.
The device will be reset.
