Description
This is the Russian T-7 powder time train
(PTT) projectile fuze.

When the round is fired, setback causes the

firing pin to move rearward against the
firing pin spring into the primer.

The flash from the primer dissipates

through four holes in the body and ignites
the powder in the upper time ring.

Setback also moves the slider setback

locking pin into the detonator slider,
preventing its movement.

Centrifugal force moves the two slider

locking pins outward.

As acceleration decreases, the slider

setback locking pin is returned to its
original position by its spring and
centrifugal force moves the
counterweighted detonator slider.

This movement aligns the detonator with

the flash channel and the booster.
