Video: A news report

➢ This term we are going to work with online press in English.

➢ You must search for a newspaper article which deals with a current topic (environment, economy,
sport, science, politics, celebrities, health, technology, culture... any topic you might be interested
in).
➢ You'll have to surf the Net. These are some newspapers you can browse: The New York Times, The
Guardian, The Independent, The Daily Telegraph, Irish Independent, Daily Mail, etc....
➢ Once you have chosen the article, you must prepare a speech and then shoot a 3-minute video
presenting your article. Your video must include the following information:

Introduction Mention and briefly analyse the HEADLINE

and topic of the article. Include the source,
date and author.

Summary of the article a) focus on the content: explain the main ideas.

b) focus on the form: highlight any key words

Personal opinion Do you agree with the ideas stated in the

article? Why/not?

PRESENTATION, IF NEEDED.
