SIKKIM TOUR

05 NIGHTS 06 DAYS | Gangtok & Darjeeling | Ex Bagdogra Airport

Documents Require:
# 04 Photocopy of ID proof (Election Identity Card / Valid Passport only) of each person.
# 04 Copies of passport size photographs.

ITINERARY
Day 01: Arrive Bagdogra / Gangtok (120 Kms/approx 05 Hrs)
Pick up from Bagdogra airport & drive to Gangtok. On arrival transfer to hotel. Rest of the day at leisure.
Overnight stay at Gangtok.

Day 02: Gangtok - Excursion to Tsomgo Lake & New Baba Mandir (Permit Required)
After breakfast proceed to excursion of Tsomgo Lake & New Baba Mandir.

 Tsomgo Lake (12,400 ft.): It is a glacial lake in the East Sikkim district of the Indian state of Sikkim,
some 40 kms from the capital Gangtok.
 New Baba Mandir (13,200 ft.): Indian Army has built-in honour of Capt. Harbhajan Singh. Capt Singh
is remembered as the "Hero of Nathula" by soldiers of the Indian army.
 Nathula Pass - Located on the Old Silk Route, Nathula Pass connects Sikkim to China’s Tibet
Autonomous Region. It was sealed for almost four decades after the People’s Republic of China
suppressed a Tibetan uprising in 1959. However, when the former Prime Minister Atal Bihari
Vajpayee visited China in 2003, talks to open this strategic route were resumed.

Note:
1. Documents for Tshangu Lake & New Baba Mandir - 02 Passport Size Photo along with Photo Copy
of Photo ID Proof (Passport or Driving License or Voter ID (Pan Card & Adhaar Card is not accepted).
For Children below 18 years, School Id / College Id are a must. Original to be brought with self while
travelling.
2. Incase visit to Tshangu Lake is not possible, due to landslide or any other unforeseen reasons,
alternative sightseeing will be provide.

Overnight stay at Gangtok.

Day 03: Gangtok - City Tour


After breakfast proceed to local sightseeing of Gangtok.

1. Tashi View Point: It offers a sweeping view of Kanchenjunga snow peaks on a clear day.
2. Ganesh Tok: This is a temple of Lord Ganesha. Ganesh Tok is located height of 6,500 ft and at a hill
adjacent to that of the huge TV Tower.
3. Hanuman Tok: It is one of Hindu temple in the upper reaches of Gangtok, the capital of the Indian
state of Sikkim.
4. Flower Exhibition Centre: Showcases flowers from the different parts of Sikkim together under a
single roof.
5. Cottage Industry and Handicraft Centre: This is a Government training centre for handloom
and handicrafts, and there is an Emporium to sell these.
6. Namgyal Institute of Tibetology: This is a Tibet museum in Gangtok, Sikkim, India, named after the
11th Chogyal of Sikkim, Sir Tashi Namgyal.
7. Do-Drul Chorten: Stupa in Gangtok. Trulshik Rinpoche, head of the Nyingma order of Tibetan
Buddhism built this stupa in 1945. In this stupa is a complete set of Dorjee Phurba, Kangyur (Holy
Books) and other religious objects.
8. Enchey Monastery: The Monastery, was established in 1909 above Gangtok, the capital city of
Sikkim in the Northeastern Indian state.
9. Bagthang Water Falls: Small Waterfall.

Overnight stay at Gangtok.

Day 04: Gangtok / Darjeeling (100 Kms/approx 04 Hrs)


After breakfast drive to Darjeeling. On arrival transfer to hotel. Rest of the day at leisure. Overnight stay at
Darjeeling.

Day 05: Darjeeling - City Tour


Today sightseeing places as below.

1. Tiger hill (8,400 ft.): Tiger Hill has a mesmerizing view of Mount Everest and Mount Kanchenjunga
together. Around 0400 am (subject to clear weather)
2. Ghoom Monastery: Yiga Choeling is also known as Ghoom Monastery. Yellow Hat Sect is the
disciple of this monestry. Ghoom is famous for a very high statue of Maitreya Buddha.

After Breakfast Sightseeing:

1. Himalayan Mountaineering Institute: On 4th November 1954 to encourage Mountaineering among


local, Himalayan Mountaineering Institute (HMI Darjeeling) was formed in Darjeeling,
2. P. N. Zoological Park (Thursday closed): Padmaja Naidu Himalayan Zoological Park is one of the
most prominent zoos in of West Bengal.
3. Tenzing Rock: HMI rock conducts climbing basic training classes here.
4. Tibetan Refugee self-help Centre (Sunday closed): It is a rehabilitation centre for the Tibetan
refugees in the Darjeeling Himalayan hill region.
5. Tea Garden (Outer view): You can enjoy the view of Happy Valley Tea Estate.
6. Ropeway: This Cable car also known as Rangeet Valley Passenger Cable Car. You can see the
mesmerizing view of the valley around the river Little Rangeet. You will need to board the cable car
from Singamari which is 3 kms (i.e. 1.8 miles) away from Darjeeling Chowk Bazaar.
7. Japanese Temple: This temple sports a traditional Japanese style architectural design. The Japanese
Temple & Peace Pagoda is a 10-minute drive from the heart of the Darjeeling town.
8. Batasia Loop: The Batasia Loop was created to lower the gradient of ascent of the Darjeeling
Himalayan Railway in Darjeeling. At Batasia the track spirals around over itself through a tunnel and
over a hilltop. It was commissioned in 1919 and still working.

Note: Tiger Hill visit is subjected to availability of coupons, as only 600 vehicles are allowed in the morning.
In case of non-availability of coupons we will provide the Tiger Hill visit after breakfast.

Overnight stay at Darjeeling.


Day 06: Darjeeling / Bagdogra (75 Kms/approx 03 Hrs) - Departure
After breakfast drive back to Bagdogra. On arrival drop at Bagdogra airport to board flight for onward
destination.

 Vehicle will be strictly as per itinerary on point to point basis (not on disposal basis)
 Ac will not work in hills (uphill or downhill) or, when the vehicle is parked
 As of now, we are not holding any bookings. Same will be subject to availability at the time of
confirmation.
 Package cost is based on MINIMUM 02 Paying Pax travelling together. Cost will be changed, if no.
of pax will be increase/decrease.
 Hotel Check in time is 02:00 PM & Check out time is 10:00 AM. So, early morning check in or late
evening check out will be as per availability.
 Using base category of rooms at respective hotels, unless specified
 Sightseeing will be as per time permissible only
 It is mandatory to carry photo ID card (except Pan Card) while you are on tour
