“You and My Regrets”

by: Kry_ingg

In my heart, a melody of sorrow sings,

A refrain of longing, a lament that clings,
For in my life, there's a space that's empty,
A void that's shaped like you, my sweet, sweet pity.

Your laughter echoes through my memory’s halls,

A bittersweet reminder of joy that enthralls,
The twinkle in your eye, the curve of your smile,
The way you made me feel like I was worthwhile.

The world may think me foolish, weak, or blind,

But I know that love like ours is hard to find,
A love that burned bright, a flame that flickered,
A passion that consumed us, heart and mind.

Now, all that's left is a lingering pain,

A bittersweet nostalgia that I can't explain,
But in my regrets, you fit perfectly,
A shard of happiness that I can't forget.
