AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 8-1-4 OF THE TOWN OF DIXON MUNICIPAL CODE OF

THE TOWN OF DIXON, CARBON COUNTY, WYOMING

WHEREAS, Section 8-1-4 of the Town of Dixon Municipal Code pertains to the schedule of water rates for
both residential and commercial properties within the Town of Dixon; and

WHEREAS, the Governing Body for the Town of Dixon has determined that it is in the best interest of the
Town to amend said water rates, to provide for the health, safety, and welfare of the residents of the Town of
Dixon.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE GOVERNING BODY OF THE TOWN OF DIXON,

WYOMING THAT SECTION 8-1-4 SHALL BE AMENDED AFTER PASSAGE AND PUBLICATION
AS FOLLOWS:
(A) The following minimum charges for providing water services shall be assessed monthly:
1) In Town Residential Water User Rates and Fees:
$65.00 for the first 20,000 gallons consumed

2) In Town Commercial & Industrial Facilities Fees:
$77.00 for the first 20,000 gallons consumed

3) Out of Town Residential Water Rates & Fees:
$79.50 for the first 20,000 gallons consumed

4) Each OUT-OF-TOWN-USER shall sign an OUT-OF-TOWN water agreement set forth by
the Dixon Town Council.
5) Each IN-TOWN-USER and each OUT-OF-TOWN-USER, shall pay an “off” fee
(regardless of whether water is currently in use) of $30.00 (thirty dollars and zero cents),
for individually metered single family residence, mobile home, living unit, apartment,
condominium, townhouse, or other similar type unit, and any master metered facilities,
including but not limited to, mobile home courts, or multi-family residential units or
commercial and industrial facilities.
6) Each IN-TOWN-USER and each OUT-OF-TOWN-USER, shall pay a turn on/turn off fee
of $25.00 (twenty-five dollars and zero cents).
7) A new water user, upon request for water service, shall pay to the town clerk a deposit fee
of $100.00 (one hundred dollars) before any water tap shall be turned on to provide
service. The deposit fee shall be paid to assure payment of the water user’s water bill.
Upon full payment of the final billing for water service and disconnection of such service,
the deposit shall be refunded. In the event a water user shall keep his or her monthly
water bill current, so as to evidence a good payment record for a period of one year, then
the water user will be refunded his/her deposit fee. The town clerk may refund the sum if,
in the clerk’s opinion, a good payment record has been established.
8) The rates described in subsections (1), (2), (3), (4), (5) and (6) shall become effective on
the May 15, 2024 billing period.
