I feel overjoyed and pleased to be writing this letter of recommendation for Javier Ramirez Hernandez. I
have known Javier for three years, and his character is nothing but upstanding. He is more than deserving
of earning the scholarship he is applying to.

I became more acquainted with Javier through his involvement in the events I organized as a Manager at
Sacred Heart Church in Merced. He was one of my previous students in the Confirmation program in
2021, where he completed forty hours of community service. Javier successfully helped me organize a
food booth from start to finish, he creatively made poster boards, decorations, and helped maintain the
cleanliness of the booth. Each of our festivals required help from 8 am-8 pm, and he willingly helped me
with the hourly shifts throughout the day displaying his passion for the community. Despite his weariness,
he served a community of about 1,000 people showing resilience and his love for God.

Javier’s performance at these events exceeded everyone's expectations. Javier is constantly with us and
serving our community. His volunteer work aligns with his career goals, it’s evident that he is passionate
about welding. His positive outlook towards life and his creativity demonstrate how welding can become
an ideal career for him. Javier is also well-spoken in two languages, Spanish and English, thus
strengthening his capability of communicating with others without a problem.
