Q Frequently Asked

Questions
On Nanoprecise’s
Precise Security

At Nanoprecise, we understand the critical intersection

between advanced predictive maintenance solutions
and robust cybersecurity measures. Our commitment
extends beyond just monitoring equipment health; we
ensure every data point’s detection, transmission and
storage is guarded with the highest level of security.
Can the Sensor
be hacked?
The sensor uses dynamic IPs aligned with
the UL2900-2-2 IoT cybersecurity standard
to prevent direct targeting and hacking.
Once programmed, the microcontroller's
cryptographic code prevents tampering.
Ensuring any unauthorized alterations render
it unusable.

What if my
network is
compromised?
In case your network is compromised,
dynamic IPs reduce the risk of the
sensors being targeted. Data
transmission is also secured through
AES 256 encryption, making intercepted
data unreadable.

What if the data is
intercepted, replaced,
or interjected?
AES 256 encryption also protects against
data being intercepted, replaced, or
injected. A digital handshake between the
device and the cloud ensures secure data
transmission.

Couldn’t the cloud
server be hacked
directly?
The cloud server employs SOC 2 Type 2
governance, reinforced by AWS's secure
data infrastructure. Regular penetration
tests check for vulnerabilities, and
access requires two-factor
authentication.

Websites get
hacked all the time,
can’t the portal be
hacked?
The user portal benefits from the same
layered security measures as both our
cloud infrastructure and sensors.
Plus it is further protected by SSL
certification to safeguard against
hacking.
