- Inorder to draw in more visitors / larger crowds, museums should think outside of the box
and take several steps. Ensure more media coverage - to use social media platforms as a
leverage to boost their publicity > approach a much wider range of visitors.
- Invest in some technological improvements - interactive exhibitions will enhance the visiting
experiences + create more value to visitors.
What do you think of the importance of museums in history?
- For me, museums are the loyal custodians of history - perverse + educate
- Preserve: treasure troves of knowledge, artefacts, historical documents -> these are
responsible for shedding light on the bygone eras of a country or a civilisation.
- Educate: a platform for education and research > foster a deeper understanding of the rich
tapestry of history.
What is the difference between museums today and those in the past? How will they
change in the future?
- Asttatic place where people could go and view artefacts behind glass cases -> lean towards
a more technological approach by integrating new technologies to make their content more
interactive
- Adopting more cutting-edge technologies to make museums much more engaging and
immersive + virtual reality to grant people from all over the world the access to view some
exclusive artworks or sculptures being displayed half a globe away.
What is the role of museums in preserving a nation’s cultural identity?
- Museums can play the role of repository /r'poz.1.tari! [archive rooms] of a country's cultural
legacy - remind future generations of the collective memories of their nation - the cultural
and societal practices of different historical times.
- Offer a sense of pride and belonging to all [educational values] > to ensure that the sense
of appreciation and national pride would sustain the cultural identity of the country for
generations to come
