Special thanks must go to all the
members of the
dune sietchposting group.
they have been a constant source
of support and inspiration,
even when I was clearly drunk
and producing absolute nonsense.

Thanks for putting up with me,

everyone.

~Introduction~
it is difficult to properly determine the
influence that dune had on the world of
science fiction. Certainly it is one of those
books that has an influence on people. Read
dune at an early age, and you can expect
your life to be altered.

However, that is not to say that dune is an

easy read. Many readers who have managed
to make their way through this ancient and
venerable tome may not realise that there
have been many additional books detailing
events thousands of years after those which
are described in dune.

For many fans of the series, god emperor

of dune holds a special place. The
incredibly dense, self-referential and
symbolic mutterings of the god-emperor
are, at best difficult to read. However, that's
not to say that a real personality doesn't
shine through in the work. When I re-read
god emperor of dune prior to starting
this work I had never thought about the
potential comedy value of the book, but
something occurred to me... I imagined what
it would be like to actually have to stand
there listening to the insane ramblings of a
millennia-old spice mutant worm-boy, and
politely nod and listen because he rules the
universe. This, immediately, struck me as
comedy gold.

So, I made a quick comic and called it “the

wisdom of leto II,” and moved on. But people
kept wanting more... and I started to really
love these weird conversations, and it turned
into something far more involved.

This comic will no doubt be of little use to

anyone, ever. But for anyone who ever held a
fondness for dear leto II, this one is for
you. Let us never forget the ability to stop
and wonder whether we are actually being
clever, or just spouting absolute nonsense
into the void.

~EPILOG~
well folks, there you have it.

When I came to realise that people were

starting to like this thing, I decided
I'd see if I could get through to fifty
episodes- if it had enough “legs” to go
that far, I reasoned, then it might be
worth putting some effort into.

If you've managed to read this far and

found anything worthwhile in my humble
efforts, you have my deepest thanks
and appreciation.

Who knows? perhaps there are more tales

to tell about the great and inexplicable
wisdom of our god-emperor. If you ever
find yourself hanging around the sietch
and in the mood for a tale, I might well
have one or two to spin for you.
