Access Adapter Settings: In the Network and Sharing Center, you'll see your active
network connection. Click on the name of the connection (e.g., "Ethernet" or "Wi-
Fi").
Open Properties: In the new window that opens, click on the "Properties" button.
This will require administrator privileges.
Select IPv4 or IPv6: Depending on whether you want to configure IPv4 or IPv6
settings, select the appropriate option.
Configure IP Address: In the properties window, you can choose between obtaining
an IP address automatically (via DHCP) or setting it manually. If you choose
manual, enter the IP address, subnet mask, and default gateway provided by your
network administrator or ISP.
Configure DNS Server: You can also specify DNS server addresses manually or
leave them to be obtained automatically. DNS server addresses are used to translate
domain names (like www.example.com) into IP addresses.
Apply Changes: After making the necessary changes, click "OK" or "Apply" to
save your settings.
Close Windows: Close all open windows to complete the configuration process.
