In Cañete every year we have a holiday called “Festival de los Camarones” exactly in Lunahuana. It
usually takes place in February. This holiday is very important for the people because they
encourage to visit the city. Before to visit “Lunahuana” my family prepare traditional foods for
example “Sopa Seca de Camarones”, it´s delicious. Many people travel to “Lunahuana” to visit,
after, they do different activities rafting, bike ride, etc. The central day the people dance
traditional musician and drink “Pisco”. There are different kind of “Pisco” also the people prepare
typical grape dessert. The most of people enjoy this festival. There are others festival in Cañete for
example “Vendimia en Nuevo Imperial”, “Carnaval negro de San Luis”, “La pesca de Cerro Azul”,
etc. Also, the people of the cities from Cañete is very friendly. For this reason, when you visit
Cañete you will have the best fun.
