End of Second Term Extension

Draft General Notes

● Year 12 will use D block; year 11 will use C block; year 9 will use A block
● Each subject will have a practice paper at the end of the periods
● Year 9 will have homework
● Normal school laptop rules apply - i.e, laptops only open when teacher says during the day
● No Laptop use after 4pm
● Normal school use of ClassChart as regards sanctions and rewards
● In place of IS - two days without provisions (only sanctioned by SMT)
● Each day to start with a meeting by year - praising good work from day before and highlighting issues @ 8:30

Lesson Delivery Guidelines

● Students will highlight on the syllabi what topics they would want to be handled during the extension classes.
● Teachers will compare students requests their assessment of students strength and weaknesses in the subject
● Teachers would develop a four weeks scheme for the extension and make it available for the students and the VP academics.
● Teachers are expected to begin each topic with a fresh discovery of concepts to ensure KSU is achieved before going into class
exercises.
● Each exercise paper should be marked by peer to peer marking while the teacher provides the mark scheme on the board as correction.
