Textual Outline

Title: Diabetes in the United States

Introduction: Diabetes and prediabetes are more common than you may think, and these
numbers are moving upwards fast in the more recent years.

Supporting Point #1: 1 in 5 Americans don’t know that they have diabetes. More than 8
in 10 Americans don’t know that they have prediabetes. (isotypes)

Supporting Point #2: 4 different ethnicities that have been diagnosed with Diabetes from
2017-2020 ages 18 and older. (Bar Graph)

- White (Non-Hispanic): 8.9%


- Black (Non-Hispanic): 12.4%
- Asian (Non-Hispanic): 11.1%
- Hispanic: 13%

Supporting Point #3: Percentages of people who were diagnosed with Diabetes each year
from 2007-2010 to 2017-2020. (Pie Chart)

Supporting Point #4: Diabetic diagnosis rates depending on BMI index numbers. (Line

- 29.7 people in the US have Diabetes. (Visual Number)
