From the Gospel according to Mark

Mk 1:29-39

"Everyone is looking for you."

He told them, "Let us go on to the nearby villages
that I may preach there also.
For this purpose have I come."

In today’s gospel, I reflected that Jesus is my healer and my peace. When I think of my
problems like my academics and being a product of a broken family, my mother always
advise me that I have to pray to Jesus because in life, there is always a purpose in life.
There are times that I have difficulty in my studies, I always pray to Jesus to give me
wisdom and heal my broken heart in my frustrations. Like Jesus, we have our own
purpose that must be defined. Reflecting on the ways of Jesus, my direction, prayer,
and faith, leads me to a path of living a simple and contented life. By receiving Jesus in
my life, I am opening my heart in forgiveness and healing. I am in my journey of
understanding my purpose in life in line with Jesus’ simple ways and teachings.
