Part 2: Ensuring Credibility

For each source, write one sentence of why you believe the source is credible.

For example:

The source comes from an academically peer-reviewed journal accessed through the
University library. The source cites numerous outside sources in the article to support its
assertions. The authors come from a collective of UH professors and graduate students in
the field of Second Language Studies.

Credibility for Reference #1: The source comes from a verified academic journal and was
found on the UHMC database.

Credibility for Reference #2: The source is an academic book with an author whose
expertise is in the field of human trafficking.

Credibility for Reference #3: Other than being listed in the UHMC database, the source
comes from the National Library of Medicine and is a verified academic source, with
many statistics on my chosen topic.

Credibility for Reference #4: Source is a governmental statistical database that also cites
a list of actions and bills related to the issue I’m researching.

Credibility for Reference #5: The first thing seen on the source page is a self-published
“notice” on outdated statistics, due to it not being updated in some time. This
accountability tells that the source is credible.
