(Manifesting The Fullness Of Christ)

Topic: Living As An Offering To God.

Texts: 2 Tim 4:6, Rom 12:1-2

Memory Verse: For I am already being poured out like a drink offering, and the time for my departure
is near. - 2 Timothy 4:6 (NIV)

INTRODUCTION

At the end of Paul's life, his testimony was of one who had finished well. Paul had given himself
to the Lord in such a way that he even saw himself as a bondservant of Christ. After Jesus, Paul's
life was another example of an offering poured out for God. Little wonder why he told us to imitate
him as he imitated Christ. He gave his all to the ministry and this didn't come easy. Today, we'll be
trusting God to guide us as we reflect on what it means to live as an offering to the lord, so that just
like Paul, at the end of our life's journeys, our testimonies will be that we were indeed living
sacrifices to God, poured out in service to him.

DISCUSSION QUESTION

1. What comes to mind when you hear the word "offering"?

2. From 2 Tim 4:6, what kind of offering was Paul referring to and how does it relate to us? ( Num.1:5)

3. Why should we live as offerings to God?

4. How does the consciousness of us living as offerings to God change our perspective on life and
our daily choices? (Gal 2:20)

5. What is the difference between living for ourselves and living for God? ( Gal 2:20, Phil. 2:3-8, Jere
44:17)

6. How do we tackle the challenges that may come while trying to live as an offering to God? ( Eph
5:18, Rom. 12:1-2)

7. How do you think living as an offering for God will impact your relationship with others? (1Jn. 3:16
-18, 2 Cor 5:14)
CONCLUSION

From today's study, we have seen what it means to offer ourselves wholly to God. We pray that God will
grant us this grace so that at the end of our lives we will also be able to boldly testify that we gave our all
for God as vessels emptied for His use and that we have finished well.
