Food Items To Limit
Stay away from fats. Excessive use of fat in cooking or eating fry foods
aggravate nausea, impaired digestion which leads to diarrhea. They should be
far from your meals as they make meals heavy, and is difficult to digest.
Spicy, fried and refined food should be avoided
Cake, pastries, maida should be avoided.
Sauces and pickles should not be taken.
Avoid hot tea and coffee.

When you are suffering from malaria, it is also very important that you take proper
care of your diet. You must light and digested food which is easy for intake. Also
taking orange and papaya, fruit juices and lemon juice mixed with honey is advised.
Ensure the food you eat had protein and hygiene. Food preferences include jiggery,
amla and Bengal gram for better level of maintained HB. You can also take the tulsi
decoction while suffering from malaria. Take 15-20 leaves of tulsi, 5 gm of minced
ginger, 10 raw pepper, some turmeric and give that a boil in water. Taking this can
help you in getting over malaria, faster. One must also consume milk for body protein
and have old rice in place of new rice. And make sure, you must not sleep
immediately after taking your meal for the day and night.
Don'ts:
Don’t let the symptoms last longer. As soon as you see the symptoms and
suffer from high fever, lower conscious level and dizziness, visit the doctor
immediately. Delays can result in further health imbalances and lead to serious

Don’t let water lock anywhere and avoid the stagnation of water since that can
create the breeding of mosquitoes around. Also, dump away the water that gets
stored on coolers, garbage, every once in a week.
Do not let your children move out to play in open grounds with short sleeves

Have a high carbohydrate diet. Rice should be chosen over wheat and other
millets. Rice helps in easy digestion and faster release of energy.
Have a high protein diet. As high temp makes your body weak and reduces
your appetite, protein helps for the protection of the body and synthesis of
immune bodies which will fight against the parasites.
Fats are like poison for malaria patients. Keep them as far as possible. They
make the meals very heavy and is difficult to digest. As malaria is many a times
accompanied with nausea and vomiting. If vomiting present give a liquid diet till
the vomiting subsides.
Fresh fruits and vegetables help to detox the body. All fruits work well for
malaria. Combination of fruits with different colors is recommended.
Omega 3 fats help to reduces the inflammation in the body.
Include a supplements of multivitamins, B-complex and minerals which will help
