Position Title: Product Engineer - Wafer Defect Management

Siemens’ Fab Solutions group is seeking a highly motivated engineer with the capability and desire to make a
significant contribution to the development and deployment of our Fab analytics and Wafer defect
management tools. We're looking for a Product Engineer to join our team in Korea. This person will
collaborate with the semiconductor foundry customers, R&D, product development teams and application
engineers to solve technical challenges in the areas of semiconductor manufacturing. Responsibilities
includes, but are not limited to, the following:

Key Responsibilities

 Understand how the product interacts in the application field to define and communicate customer
requirements to R&D.
 Demonstrate product features to customers and collect feedback about product applicability and
requirements.
 Develop and setup application flows and provide functional validation of software solutions developed
by the engineering team.
 Partner with the cross-functional team to: Generate enhancement specs and defect reports to address
customer needs,defects, product gaps and strategy; Work with R&D to communicate requirements
and test prospective solutions; Create test cases of user scenarios for the quality assurance group.
 Provide training to the field application engineers and support product deployment.
 Manage customer and internal stakeholder expectations.

Qualifications

 Master’s degree in Chemistry, Material Science, Physics, Electrical Engineering or Computer Science
with 2-10 years’ prior experience in a semiconductor fab environment working as inspection, defect,
process, integration or yield engineer.
 Python programming language.
 Work in UNIX/Linux OS environment.
 Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
 Self-motivated and results-oriented and strong problem-solving skills.
 Some international travel is required.

Additional qualifications in one or more areas listed below:

 Engineering background with recent experience in yield management systems, technology


integration, defect management, or failure diagnosis/failure analysis in semiconductor manufacturing
including advanced nodes.
 Understanding of the interaction of the IC design flow and the wafer manufacturing flow.
 Interest in software application development and machine learning methodologies to discern root
causes of process. observations and their connectedness to layout content.
 Network in the semiconductor manufacturing and supplier space.
