Objective:

The aim of the experiment is to:

• Verify Kirchhoff's Current Law (KCL).
• Verify Kirchhoff's Voltage Law (KVL).

Theory:

Many practical networks (circuits) cannot be reduced to simple series or parallel

combinations to be solved easily. Gustav Robert Kirchhoff developed rules in order to
compute the current and voltage in these networks (complicated circuits).
Kirchhoff's rules which consists of these two statements:

1. Kirchhoff's Current rule:

The algebraic sum of the currents into any junction is equal to zero.

2. Kirchhoff's Voltage rule:

The algebraic sum of the potential difference in any loop, including those
associated with emf and those of resistive elements, must equal to zero.

Equipment:

- White Breadboards.
- Three different known resistances.
- Two D.C Batteries 9V.
- Connection wires.
- Avometers.

Procedures:
A- Verification of Kirchhoff's Current Law:

1. Connect the circuit as shown in figure below.

2. Take the reading of the three ammeters A1, A2, and A3.
3. The currents entering as positive and those leaving as negative, the algebraic sum
of currents must be equal to zero.
4. You will find that: at junction "b"

B- Verification of Kirchhoff's Voltage Law:

1. Connect the circuit as shown in figure below.

2. Take the reading of voltmeters V1, V2, V3, V4, and V5.
3. You will find that:
