Summary

Movies these days are quite varied. Fantasies in particular have moved into the supernatural
realm. Why, just the day before, Dracula was playing! Biting someone on the neck... what an
odd concept.

Notes

Some Tanya/Visha I've been dying to write.

Rejoice.

Early Morning, 19XX

Degurechaff Villa

Outskirts of Berun, Empire

Why am I awake this early?

Did the Sun wake me up? Or maybe it was the chirping of birds trying to find a mate. I sat up
with a yawn. Yep, definitely the chirping. I hadn’t risen with the Sun in years. Living
comfortably after leaving military life can do that to a person. I quite enjoyed getting the
extra rest these days.

Damn horny birds. I was having good dream too! Oh well, too late now.

Light streamed into the bedroom as I got out of bed. As I padded over to the bathroom,
another yawn escaped me. Getting up this early really wasn’t ideal after such a long night.
Especially on the weekend.

On top of that, yesterday was exhausting. A movie date followed by a long night at home
made waking up any time before noon unpleasant. The prices I pay to please my wife… well,
soon-to-be wife. Maybe the proposal last night had something to do with my exhaustion. It
certainly boosted her enthusiasm after we got home.

“Tanyaaa~” A sleepy voice could be heard from a person-sized lump on the bed. “Come
baaack~”

A soft ‘pfft’ left my lips. I made my way to the bedside opposite of the one I had just vacated,
where a head was just barely poking out of the covers.

“Shhh, go back to sleep Visha,” I murmured comfortingly while running my hand gently
through her hair. “It was a long night; you need your rest…”

“Don’ wanna… I’ll alwaish follow-” Sleep reclaimed her in the middle of her tired
grumblings. I brushed my hand through her hair once more before standing.

A grin flitted across my face. How adorable. As tempting as it was to climb back into bed
with my lovely fiancée, someone had to be the responsible partner. Visha would likely be
ecstatic with a proper wakeup. Breakfast, or perhaps brunch at this point, was always a
welcome early morning alarm.

Luckily, I learned how to cook. It is a logical skill to possess in a romantic relationship. The
fact that my partner enjoyed food to an extreme extent also had something to do with it.

The shift from warm carpet to cool tile woke me up further. I could see minor bags under my
eyes as I stepped up to the sink.
“Note to self: take a nap later.” The cold water was an invigorating shock to the senses.
“Alright, let’s kill this breakfast.”

After toweling off, I left for the kitchen, a barely noticeable skip in my step.

It was a beautiful day for sure.

-------------------------------------------------------------

“Ughh,” A groan sounded from the bedroom’s lone occupant. Visha’s muffled voice could be
heard, “What time is it…?”

She sat up slowly. A turn towards the clock left her wincing.

“Ow, ow-” Visha put a hand to her neck, “Right, that happened. How long did we…?”

The former adjutant gingerly left the bed. A quick jaunt to the bathroom was needed.

“Maybe we went a little overboard, eheh” Multiple round bruises vied for Visha’s attention.
The mirror revealed, to a large extent, just how happy she was over Tanya’s proposal.

“It was really hot though…” Her cheeks flushed. “I did think Tanya was like a vampire when
I first met her. I guess I was right; a vampire fiancée is really something else. Fiancée…”

A delicious aroma interrupted her train of thought.

“Breakfast? My fiancée-” She giggled happily at that, “-must be cooking right now. I love her
so much. She knows just how to treat a girl.”

Tanya had certainly treated her yesterday. And last night. And again after midnight. Mages
were known for their durability and stamina after all.

“Well, no sense keeping her waiting. Tanya, here I come~”

Again.

------------------------------------------------------------

The sound of light footsteps alerted me just as I topped off a second plate. The coffee was
almost done as well. It had nothing on Visha’s, but I could brew a mean cup when I needed
to.

“Did you have a good rest?”

As I turned toward the doorway, my breath caught.

“Is something wrong?” My now-fiancée asked with a yawn.

Yes, something was very wrong. What would someone say if they saw Visha in such a
compromising state of dress? It was a good thing no visitors were expected for the day.
Her negligee was scandalously short. The top lay partially open, exposing the numerous love
marks that resulted from last night’s activities. Every curve that could be hugged was, in fact,
hugged. In short, she looked positively arresting.

“Nothing is wrong, Visha. But…” I set our plates down on the island that separated our
kitchen from our living room. “It seems I made this nice breakfast for us both, yet the one
thing I want to eat is right in front of me. You look ravishing.”

I drew up next to Visha and reached up to cup her chin. Never have I been more grateful for
my teenage growth spurt than in this moment.

“There’s always dessert, Tanya.” My fiancée whispered, heat in her gaze.

“How delightful. My favorite dessert in the morning? You do so spoil me…” We were face-
to-face now. A sensual inferno seemed to blaze between us.

“Tanya, you’re the one who made breakfast. If anything, you spoil me.”

“Ah, is that so?” A soft smile made its way onto my face. “May I kiss you?”

“Of course.”

“Again?”

“Of course.”

The breakfast was good. Great, even. My farmer’s omelet was nothing to sneeze at. The
coffee was better than average as well!

However, nothing would ever taste as good as my fiancée’s lips on mine. Even if I didn’t
believe in God, perhaps Heaven might be real, found in the dips and crevasses of my lover’s
body. The time we share together is divine by itself. Maybe life is suffering. To live is to
struggle for a successful survival. At this moment though, I can say it’s worth it.

Dessert? Why do you ask? A gentlewoman doesn’t kiss and tell you know. Things like that
are best left for another time.

Adieu.
End Notes

No smut unfortunately. (I'm saving that for 'Crushing on a Devil')

I saw a screenshot from the Youjo Senki manga that hadn't been translated yet. They were
watching a vampire movie and Visha blushed when the biting happened. So I wrote this.

Glory to the Empire.
