MODULE 1

1. Discuss why ethics is important in business

*Ethics is very important at businesses since a business should
not only focus at gaining and earning profits for themselves,
why? Because there are things that are needed on a business,
the first is that it should be eco-friendly, why eco-friendly?
Because for the next generations to come, for example the
factories keep releasing toxic waste at the seas, ocean and etc…
there will come a day where the next generation wouldn’t get to
see the beauty of the ocean and its creatures like the sharks,
fishes, corals and the like. 2nd its important since being ethical
person on a business have a domino effect to your surroundings,
for example a manager is a very good man a very good role
model for others, they would look up to him/her and they would
try to be like him/her and it would make the communications a
lot easier and friendlier.
2. Refute the businessman’s myth that “ethics has no place at all
in business.”
*That is really a myth, why? Because ethics is needed at a
business, a business must not only focus at gaining profits, it
must also intindihen ang kapakanan ng mga tao, like it should be
benefit them and the price is reasonable since that’s why they
bought it in the first place.

3. Explain the phrase: “not all that is legal is moral, but what is
moral is worth legalizing.”
*In my own opinion, this phrase means that not all legal are
morally good and there are also moral things that would be good
at making it as a law and order.

4. Define Business Ethics. What is your own personal definition

of Business Ethics?
*Business ethics is about doing a business with a good-manners
where the businesses helps one and another, like they help each
other, for example a fertilizer company should help the farmers
to not overprice them.
