(*) MUTHAIGA COUNTRY CLUB INTERNAL JOB RE - ADVERTISEME! Assistant Accountant An interesting opportunity has come up at Muthaiga Country Club. We are in search of a Ievelheaded accountant to fill the vacant position of Assistant Accountant. This individual will bring his or her strong commercial and business acumen, and tenacity to drive the top line to exceed targets, and to position the property in the marketplace. ‘The club staff are encouraged to apply via the provided channels. The job details are as follows: Job Title: Assistant Accountant Department: Accounts Reports to: Finance Director Supervises: None Job Purpose: The overall purpose of the job is to ensure timely and accurate payments to suppliers and other stakeholders, proper processing of payroll transactions and compliance with tax and other statutory requirements Responsibilities Receipt member's payments, manage banking of cheques, and assist in stocks reconciliations. Receipt member payments and update the member's accounts. Prepare bank deposits and process general ledger postings. Process monthly credit card standing orders, receipt and update the members ‘accounts, Analyzing and reconciliation of allocated ledger accounts Custodian of members’ POS receipts, Checking void reports and submitting them for review by the Finance Director ‘Takes daily bar stocks and reconciles inventory ic., physical stock with the stock in the system under the supervision of the stocks & cost control accountant. 9. Takes monthly stock take of cutlery, crockery, glassware, and reconciles inventory ie, physical stock with the stock in the system under the supervision of the stocks & cost control accountant. 10, Assist in the monthly inventory stocktaking and reconciliation of food, beverage, cutlery, crockery, glassware, cleaning materials, re-saleable, empties, linen, stationery, etc. 1 Carry out daily fuel stock take together with the stores and maintenance teams. 12, Function in accordance with established standards, procedures, and applicable laws; and any other responsibility assigned by the supervisor from time to time. Requirements 1. University degree or master’s degree in relevant field preferred. 2. Member of CPA-K or ACCA professional body hence be a qualified accountant MUTHAIGA COUNTRY CLUB 3. At least 2 years working in a similar position in a high-end club or luxury property in a busy Hospitality environment. Hands-on experience with hotel management systems and other financial systems Strong business acumen and demonstrated success in driving the commercial performance of the business and delivering on KPIs. Working knowledge of MS Excel, Word, & PowerPoint Strong analytical and communication skills Highly self-supervised and ability to meet deadlines. 9. High level of integrity and confidentiality. 10.
