Leadership Style Activity
Below each of the statements, write some comments about it, such as: did
it work, could a different style have worked better, how did t he employees
feel about the decision, did everyone learn from that style and what did
they learn, which style is easiest to use (why?), which style do you prefer the
leaders over you to use (why?).
Think of a time when you, or another leader, used the auth oritarian
(autocratic) style of leadership.
In one company, the manager decided it was time to change the company's
logo to reflect a more modern and fresh image. Without consulting the design
team, who had years of experience and knowledge in graphic design, he made
the decision to create a new logo based on his own personal vision, focusing only
on his style and ignoring the opinion of his employees. As a result, the opportunity
to take advantage of the team's creativity and experience was lost.
