Children with no reading skills are able to read brand logos, packers, and

various items of interest. They can be introduced to reading and writing in


English by beginning with these items of personal interests and by using the
words that are the most motivating for children: names of family members and
friends, animals, toys, food, etc., in other words, by utilizing the intuition they
have developed to successfully develop literacy in a new language.
