In this final assignment you will be presen%ng your ‘Sustainable Design Project’ to
Scenario exhibit for your School Leaders, VIP’s and peers.
This is an opportunity for you to highlight your new design skills and your exci%ng
ideas. Most employment opportuni%es in the crea%ve industry require you to present
your ideas and designs to colleagues or clients. Presenta%on skills are a vital aspect of
your skillset, and this assignment allows you to prac%ce and present how you have
developed your ideas and refined your project in an innova%ve and exci%ng approach.

Term 3 requires you to work in your teams to create two presenta.ons of your
sustainable design.
The first presenta.on covers the final prepara.on of the project, highligh.ng the
groups approach to the challenge, op.ons taken, materials, techniques and
processes, soCware used, etc., and essen.ally is a jus.fica.on for choices made.
Topic 3.
The presenta.on must use slides with imagery and text, combined with a voiceover
explana.on from you, the learners, each learner must contribute.

In your team, you should select a final design from earlier developmental work in
Term 2. You should jus%fy your decisions, rela%ng it to the design principles that you
have used and how you have been innova%ve with your response to the sustainability
design brief.

Slides 4 to 7. What are the best materials, processes, and techniques for the final
design idea. (Addresses: PC3.2).
As a group, you should highlight working processes, explaining how the team
conducted experiments with a variety of materials, processes, and techniques.
Experiments should evidence the use of 2-5 materials, processes and techniques. You
should also explain how your response relates to the selected brief. Explaining
refinement of draYs and how you decided and agreed ideas and materials for the
final.

The second presenta.on requires learners to realize their project, create a digital
outcome and create an accompanying video presenta.on suitable for showcasing.
Time should be taken to produce well presented, refined outcomes.

Presenta.on B:
Slides 1 to 6. – Present final 3D Model. (Addresses: PC3.4).

In your team, your second presenta%on requires you to showcase the realized
sustainable design project, crea%ng an accompanying video/photographic
presenta%on suitable for showcasing to VIP’s, DSS, Principals/VPA’s, and your peers at
school. Time should be taken to produce well presented, refined outcomes with
accompanying infographics, that highlight the design process.

Criteria covered by this task:


PC 3.1 Show evidence of the use of suitable 3D modeling soYware. Produce a digitally
rendered 3D model of final design idea.
PC 3.2 Research different methods of crea%ng a 3D model and conduct experimental tests
with a variety of materials, processes and techniques in prepara%on for final 3D
model, and in response to chosen product design brief. Tests should include
experimenta%on with 5-7 materials, processes and techniques.
PC 3.3 Create a 3D model, accurately applying maths, engineering and physics knowledge.
Use appropriate materials, processes and techniques to best represent design in
response to chosen product design brief. Maintain a visual diary documen%ng

progress during this final stage of 3D model crea%on. This should include
photographs, video clips and annota%ons.
PC 3.4 Create a video/photographic presenta%on of final 3D model in response to chosen
product design brief. Include verbal or wri`en evalua%on of final 3D model and use
photography, film and digital media to support presenta%on.
