Theme: Finish the Race

Text: Hebrews 12:1-3 You may be suffering now but there is a reward waiting for you, your
family, your career, your ministry, and your future! Magiging worth it lahat
ng paghihirap mo.
Christian life is not a race to go ahead and be ahead of others, but it is a
race that we must finish individually.
III. Consider Christ as the final Model in Life (Hebrews 12:3)

If you want to finish this Christian race, consider these three things:
I. Consider that you have a great crowd (Hebrews 12:1)
Christian life is not a bed of roses, but a shared suffering with Christ.The
oppossition Jesus faced will be experienced by all who will follow Him. But
remember that after the many oppositions He faced, He withstood and
won.

The great cloud of witnesses (Hebrews 11:4-40) were considered saints

because of their faith. Nabuhay sila sa pattern ng Panginoon at hanggang
huli ay hindi sila bumitaw sa kanilang pananampalataya even if it entails
death.
Now, in our realities today, we are the ones who are running the race and
these people who finished first are watching us. Their example can be our
pattern in winning and finishing this race. Kung natapos nila, kaya rin natin!
Kaya lagi mong iisipin si Christ kapag may suffering. Kahit nahirapan,
tinapos Niya. At sa bawat race, may katapusan din ito. Hindi ka
habambuhay na tatakbo at mahihirapan, may finish line ang race na ito.
Hindi ka habambuhay na tatanaw sa reward, darating ang panahon na
matatanggap at makakasama mo ang reward–si Jesus. Kaya takbo
hanggang sa dulo. Fight the good fight of faith.

II. Consider Jesus as your Starting and Finish Line (Hebrews 12:2)

The author explains to fix our eyes on Jesus.He endured the cross and
scorned its shame. Of all the things Jesus experienced, hindi lang nag-tiis si
Jesus but there was a joy set before Him. And that joy is His glorification
when the time He will sit at the right hand of God.
