The concept of globalization has embedded the practical aspect of understanding other
cultures and empathy among students. Globalization encourages experimentation and exploration
to push the boundaries of information technologies and communication. It improves the student's
ability to acquire and utilize knowledge. Some big benefits of globalization in education include
greater awareness of other cultures, better transnational collaboration, reduced discrimination
and racism, the spread of technology and innovation, and higher standards of living across the
globe. Globalization has reshaped social interactions among learners, promoting unity and
understanding across cultures. Cultural exchange I becoming more prevalent in a learner’s life.
For many developing nations, globalization has led to an improvement in the standard of
living through improved roads and transportation, improved health care, and improved
education. A global education should teach about issues that cross national boundaries, and
interconnected systems on ecological, cultural, economic, political, and technological grounds
such as the Globalization program which draws upon expertise in many areas such as
humanities, social sciences, and environmental sciences.
Global education helps develop self-awareness of one’s identity, culture, beliefs, and how
those connect with the wider world, social awareness including empathy, perspective-taking,
appreciating diversity, and respecting others, and relationship-building skills with diverse
individuals. So that they can address these challenges responsibly and effectively now and in the
future. Students who wish to broaden their horizons through global citizenship will become more
empathetic of others and develop more diversely. To act effectively and responsibly at local,
national and global levels for a more peaceful and sustainable world. Global citizenship
education aims to be transformative, building the knowledge, skills, values and attitudes that
learners need to be able to contribute to a more inclusive, just and peaceful world. Citizenship
education helps students to understand civic rights and responsibilities.
