I kinda have a simpler method first u do LCM/HCF do 90/6= 15 After that, u write all the multiple

of 15 which is only 3×5=15 Then u multiple 3 and 5 by the HCF so 3×6 and 5×6, u would get
(18,30)

Write 90 as a product of prime numbers

Edit : 90 = 2 × 5 × 3 × 3 = 2 × 5 × 32

Now, it states that both have a LCM of 90.

So, both of these numbers give a whole number when divided from 90.

So now, write the factors of 90 = (1 × 90), (2 × 45), (3 × 30), (5 × 18), (6 × 15), (9 × 10)

Now, take the numbers which are greater than 6 and eliminate those lesser than 6.

10, 15, 18, 30, 45, 90

Now, it states that numbers have a HCF of 6. So, eliminate numbers which do not give a whole
number when divided by 6. The numbers remaining are :

18, 30, 90

The correct answer is two of these three numbers. So, now use trial and error to eliminate the
wrong ones.

30, 90 = Have LCM of 90 but HCF is not 6 (10 and 30 are greater)

18, 90 = HCF is 18 - hence eliminated

18, 30 = LCM is 90, now check the HCF. It's 6.

Hence, the numbers are 18 and 30.
