Meaning- Salutations to Rama who is also known as Ramabhadra and Ramachandra, who is
mentioned in Vedas as the greatest Lord of Raghuvansha and who is consort of Mata Sita.
With the divine blessings of Lord Rama Let’s begin our cultural event.

Nithya : The 1st group participants are Chavisha, Kanitra , Ishita , Tanviha and Anjali.

They are going to begin with a medley song. In music a medley is a collection of different songs
or tunes that are sung or played one after the other as a single piece or music. This group is
going to sing a medley song that consists of 5 different languages ie, Sanskrit, Telegu, Kannada,
Tamil and Hindi. Though the languages might be different from one another but the songs
convey the same meaning that glorifies Lord Rama and his characteristics to the best.
The next song is a Nottuswaram song which are a set of 39 compositions in Carnatic music by
Muttuswami Dikshitar who is celebrated as one among the Trinity of Carnatic music. The song is
Ramachandram Rajeevaksham.

Janani : The 2nd Group participants are Avani, Grahathi, Pragnya, Roshitha, Ayush, Jathil, Tia.

They are going to sing Eka Sloka Ramayana. Ekasloka Ramayana describes in 2 lines the
Ramayana, The hindu epic which consists of 24,000 slogans. Ramayana describes the life of
Sri Rama, The prince of Raghu Dynasty.
The next song is Atma Rama which says chant the name of Rama , bestower of happiness and
resident of our heart.
The next song is Rama Nama Tarakam. This song says that Rama Nama is the only mantra that
is called Taraka Mantra.The word Taraka means the one that helps us cross the ocean Samsara
and the cycles of birth and death.
The next song Sri Rama Namamrutam.It is a song that reveres Lord Rama , praises and extols
the virtues of lord Rama and seeks his blessings.

Tharuni : The 3rd Group participants are Mihira, Pragnya, Sreeram, Siri,Karthik, Tanvi and
Tashvi.

This group is going to sing Sarasanatra song which explains the greatness of Lord Rama and
glorifies his nature.
The next song is Rama Janardhana Nottuswaram English note. This song praises Lord Rama
as Janardhana, slayer of Ravana, shows his relationship with his brother, his kingdom and its
people, his glories , qualies and his greatness. This kris is in the 8th (Sambhodhana Prathama)
Vibhakti.

Aunty ; The Group 4 participants are Nitya, Janna, Thaaruni, Danvitha, Karthik.
This group is going to sing Vandanamu Raghu Nandana song. This song explains greatness of
Lord Rama as bestower of prosperity , as a lord found in the heart of Lakshmi , name sung by
sages and a Lord resident in the heart of Sri Tyagaraja.

The next song is Ganake Sulabhavu Rama Namavu. It describes Lord Rama’s characteristics ,
qualities and says that remembrance of Harry Nama is the most important tool in Kali Yuga.

Conclusion
1st person; All the songs that the kids performed today express the devotion, praises and
prayers to Lord Rama emphasizing his divine qualities, heroism and the significance of chanting
on invoking his name for spiritual upliftment and protection.

2nd person; Let all us chant the name of Lord Rama together.

With this, we come to the end of today's cultural singing program.
