Rita was a playful child .everyone liked her as she was cheerful and loving .

she liked the other

children and all the children liked her too. One afternoon, while the children were playing,
one of them noticed that Rita had disappeared .She shouted to the others to tell them
what had happened . Everyone panicked . Rita was only six years old .So where could she
gone.

Kamau, Rita’s elder cousin, rushed to call his mother .She was Rita’s aunt. When Kamau’s
mother learnt the sudden disappearance , she started screaming . Everyone was running
around looking for her.

Neighbours streamed into the compound to find out the matter was .As soon as everyone was
told of the little girl disappearance ,they started looking for her. Some went to other neighbour’s
houses, other’s to the cow shed. Other’s to the bushes While other’s sat stunned.

After half an hour, Rita had still not been found. Her mother, who worked in the local town,
arrived. Suddenly, the door to their house opened and Rita ran out to everyone’s delight.
Everyone asked her question at once. It was then that everyone realised they had been
looking for her in all places except Rita’s favourite place, her little bed.
