PRE-OPERATIONAL SAFETY CHECKS


 Locate and ensure you are familiar with all machine
operations and controls.

 Check work spaces and walkways to ensure no slip/trip


hazards are present.

 Ensure double hand push button, emergency button,


selector switch working correctly. Do not use faulty
machine. If there is abnormal sound, inform supervisors.

OPERATIONAL SAFETY CHECKS


 Use magnetic tools/ stick to place and remove material
from mould. Do not place your hand into mould.

 Follow correct clamping procedures. Keep overhangs as


small as possible and check work piece is secure.

 Ensure infrared sensor is working in good condition.


 Do not let machine operating without supervision.
 Do not make any adjustments on any parts such as
mould, production speed, selector switch and ramp
height. Get a help from supervisors. Press emergency
button during adjustments.

 Inform supervisors if there abnormalities during running


machine such as die coming down without pressing
button
ENDING OPERATIONS AND CLEANING UP
 Switch off the machine when work completed.
 Leave the machine and work area in a safe, clean and
tidy state.

 Sharp cutters.
 Hair/clothing getting caught in moving machine parts.

 Skin irritation.
 Metal splinters and burrs.
