I believe Charles lost the battle of Naseby for many reasons, These are: The parliamentarians
had many many more men (using source D we know about 6000 more) this meant it was
effectively suicide for Charles to put himself into a battle with that few troops knowing that
he would not have an even close amount of troops. Also, the new model army was more
skilled and simply better than Charles’s army because of the fact that it was recruiting
because of skill not because of status. Also Fairfax and Cromwell’s military tack ticks like
going round the hedge to surprise the enemy were genius compared to Charles and Rupert’s.
So really it was a combination of all these factors which caused the end of the Battle with a
clear winner.
