The person in charge of the Database of the Technology Directorate of the Attorney General's Office (PGR)
will continue in the Najayo prison for being accused of being involved in Operation Gavilán , the network
that is credited with eliminating almost 17,000 criminal records.

The judge of the Seventh Investigative Court, Deiby Timoteo Peguero Jiménez, confirmed the prison of
Alfredo Mirambeaux Villalona in a mandatory review.

According to prosecutor Sourelly Jáquez, the magistrate assessed that the danger of Mirambeaux Villalona
fleeing still persists , because he was a "first-rate" employee of the Public Ministry (MP) in the structure of
the group that sought bribes to make the criminal record disappear. who requested it.

Mirambeaux Villalona is one of the five defendants in Operation Gavilán who have not collaborated in the
investigation and who were sent to different prisons. Seven other defendants in the case have other coercive
measures.

The network is accused of having disappeared the data of even criminals serving sentences of up to 30 years
and was made up of "about seven" prosecutors, whose names have not yet been revealed since the case
was revealed in August of last year. .

The other four MP employees who are in prison , in addition to Mirambeaux Villalona, ​are: Mártires Rosario
Reyes, Luis Alfredo Astacio, Rubén Darío Morbán, and Domingo Julio Santana. The five are being held in the
Najayo-Hombres and San Pedro de Macorís prisons.
